Job Description

The Machinist works under the supervision of the Lead Supervisor, performing a variety of tasks with manual lathes and/or machining centers by applying knowledge of machine shop theory, procedures, and machinability of materials. Must be familiar with Poreba and DSNG. This position would be an evening shift starting after 2 pm.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes or machining centers to perform machining functions, such as turning, milling, boring, facing and threading parts.
• Repair work with various threads.
• Interpret engineering drawings for specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
• Clean machine, tooling and parts, and may perform minor machine maintenance.
• Maintain product identification and traceability of parts, including stamping/re‑stamping control numbers as required.
