Who we want to meet:

We are currently looking for Senior Java Developers / Support Analysts to join an international project in the banking and financial services sector , focused on high-availability enterprise applications and distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 support for Java Spring Boot microservices , REST API integrations, and distributed enterprise applications
• Diagnose and resolve incidents across cloud and on-premise environments including AWS, IBM Cloud, WebSphere, Tomcat, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Troubleshoot and optimise databases such as MongoDB, IBM DB2, MSSQL Server, and Elasticsearch
• Support and monitor enterprise messaging systems including Apache Kafka and IBM MQ
• Perform log analysis and root-cause investigations using observability tools such as ELK Stack and Splunk
• Implement code fixes, refactoring, and improvements for legacy Java services
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams during testing, release, and deployment cycles
• Contribute to automation initiatives, monitoring improvements, and CI/CD pipeline support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development and application support
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or IBM Cloud environments
• Experience supporting WebSphere Application Server and Apache Tomcat
• Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes environments
• Strong database troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
• Experience with Apache Kafka and/or IBM MQ
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Maven, and SonarQube
• Previous experience in Banking or Financial Services projects is highly valued
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification is a plus
• Fluent English is mandatory; Spanish or German is a plus
