 New Hanover County is looking for a  Maintenance Assistant  to join the Maintenance Division of the  Recycling & Solid Waste   Department .
 
 New Hanover County is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform manual labor tasks at the county landfill with duties to include:
 
 Conducting routine maintenance and cleaning of heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, compactors, and loaders
 Organizing maintenance shop and assisting with inventory control
 Mowing grass, trimming using a weed eater, and accomplishing other landscaping tasks as needed to assist with site aesthetics
 Directing traffic and assisting with Customer Convenience Site operations
