Duties Description Working for the Bureau of Transportation Services, duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist the Bureau Chief with day-to-day management of the Transportation Services Bureau.
2. Create vehicle specifications for upcoming purchases statewide based on regional needs.
3. Provide guidance to the Department's Vehicle Maintenance Centers statewide and review safety procedures and standards for all shop operations.
4. Establish vehicle maintenance and repair procedures for all fleet vehicles and motorized equipment; Communicate and administer these procedures to personnel in all of the Regions and the Central Office; Coordinate the maintenance & repair procedures with all mechanics at all DEC Vehicle Maintenance Centers.
5. Administer the annual Vehicle Maintenance Training Program for all DEC vehicle mechanic personnel. This includes coordinating with the Vehicle Maintenance Centers to determine training needs, det...
