The Mammography Technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the mammographic equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. 2 Year/Associate's Degree preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program required.
Experience: 1 year of experience in Mammography preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
Licensure: Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography required. Mammography β RT(R)(M) within 12 months of hire required. Certified and registered by ARRT in Bone Densitometry β RT(R)(M)(BD) preferred.
