Clean Arctic Shipping Initiative

BACKGROUND

The Clean Arctic Shipping Initiative (CASI) is a unique partnership co‑led and co‑developed by Memorial University and Inuit Circumpolar Council (ICC) Canada. The Initiative responds to the rapid increase in Arctic shipping and its associated environmental and socio‑economic impacts on Arctic communities, while supporting Inuit priorities for safe, sustainable, and cost‑effective resupply.
