Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for providing case management and institutional decision support in matters related to student care and student risk. Exercises independent professional judgment and participates directly in university process that assess, manage and respond to high-risk student situations through interdisciplinary review and risk evaluation mechanism. The SHWO supports complex, sensitive cases with implications for student safety, legal compliance and institutional reputation, while also maintaining the day-to-day administrative operation within the office of the Associate Vice-President Student Health and Wellness. The incumbent works with a high degree of autonomy, maintains strict confidentiality and contributes to institutional governance, risk migration and policy aligned decision making.
