Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Set up and operate jig grinding machines to grind precision holes, contours, and surfaces Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications Perform precision grinding operations to close tolerances and surface finish requirements Select and install grinding wheels, tooling, fixtures, and attachments Inspect finished parts using micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment Verify dimensions and maintain accurate inspection records Adjust machine settings, offsets, and feeds/speeds as needed Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning Troubleshoot machining and quality issues Maintain safe and organized work areas Follow company quality standards and safety procedures Collaborate with machinists, toolmakers, engineers, and quality personnel Edu...
