Responsibilities

• Analyze weather patterns, current conditions, and vessel-specific characteristics to identify the most fuel-efficient routes and speeds.
• Develop voyage plans that minimize unnecessary fuel burn by avoiding adverse conditions or optimizing routes.
• Utilize voyage planning software and weather data to optimize fuel consumption.
• Track and analyze fuel consumption data to identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor fuel consumption against established targets and benchmarks.
• Investigate deviations from expected fuel consumption and implement corrective actions.
• Track and analyze oil consumption data, particularly for main and auxiliary engines, to identify potential leaks or inefficiencies.
• Monitor oil levels, pressures, and temperatures to ensure proper lubrication and prevent engine damage.
