Marking Matters?: Marking Punggol (MM?:MP) is a year-long socially engaged art project in which 99 participants collectively contribute 10,000 volunteer hours to social causes in Punggol. Each participant volunteers 80-100 hours and, in exchange, receives an artwork by the renowned Thai contemporary artist Mit Jai Inn in honour of their contribution.

The project, which launched in March 2026, is now in its ongoing community engagement phase. Community engagements such as bi‑monthly participant gatherings, social media/online features, and a book cataloguing participants’ stories aim to foster social connection among participants and raise awareness of the project among the general public.

Ultimately, the project seeks to build a culture and community of volunteerism starting with Punggol.
