Job Overview: A Silent-Aire successful Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring fabrication and weld prep teams have the correct materials available to support daily and weekly production requirements. This role manages material releases, shortages, backorders, substitutions, NCRs, hotshots, and shop job needs while confirming proper processes are followed. The Material Coordinator investigates and resolves BOM, SAP, floor demand, inventory, and material usage discrepancies to help prevent production delays and maintain accuracy. They also create and maintain cut lists, usage reports, and track dead stock for possible reuse or substitution. In addition, this role communicates material delays, ETAs, and plant transfer requirements to support production flow, while developing and training employees on improved processes for tracking material and identifying day-to-day production issues.
