The Buying Manager will be responsible for processing purchasing requisitions, managing a team to fill purchasing orders, auditing and properly filing purchase orders, managing orders through an online database, as well as working as a liaison between internal departments and external vendors.General Responsibilities- Moderate the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases- Manages schedules, short term assignments, long term goals, staff training, annual evaluations and other necessary programs / policies- Managespurchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire necessary inventory in a cost effective, timely manner- Manages the evaluation of vendor reliability, makes recommendations to company regarding any opportunities for lower cost or more efficient vendor optionsExperience / Qualifications- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
