The Materials Supervisor is responsible for managing the materials team in support of trailer and Aftermarket production from the receipt and storage of materials to the timely replenishment and delivery of material to the production line. The role also directs all shipments of parts, assemblies and dunnage to Aftermarket, sister plants and suppliers, coordinates spotter truck activities, and ensures safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with plant-wide safety protocols and conduct basic safety training for team members.
• Provide training to team following all OSHA rules and GD policies in the use of material handling equipment – forklifts, mobilized carts, cranes, stacker cranes, tuggers, pallet jacks, dock locks, etc.
• Ensures all HR related processes and policies are followed by material handling team.
