Ailsa Craig Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Locum GP to cover maternity leave for 12 months from August 2026.

Key responsibilities

• 6 clinical sessions per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
• 1 allocated on‑call day per week
• Working within a total triage system
• Providing telephone and face‑to‑face consultations for acute and routine appointments
• Managing acute, chronic and complex conditions in line with GMC and NICE guidance
• Reviewing test results, hospital correspondence, prescriptions and other clinical tasks
• Maintaining accurate clinical records of all consultations using EMIS Web
