SUMMARY: A food ingredient manufacturer is seeking a
Meat Processing Technician to join their team in
Cape Town . The main purpose of the job is to manage and support meat processing operations while ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production.
POSITION INFO: The key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Operate and assist with the running of the processing plant lines (sausages, emulsions, ham & bacon) including fillers, injectors, smokers and related equipment.
- Work on production systems to meet output, yield and quality targets.
- Understand and apply meatâcutting, part selection and basic butchery processing (e.g., distinguishing between cuts such as leg of pork vs oxtail).
