The Mechanic I is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing all mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and equipment at all Ellis Hospital locations. Responsible for project work planning, proper layout and ordering modifications to existing systems or new installations. Monitors and completes work orders.

Requirements:

High School Diploma required. Three (3) years' of experience in the maintenance or construction field preferably in a health care facility required. Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawing, schematics and specifications and the ability to use appropriate measuring equipment such as manometers, thermocouples, flow meters, etc. On-call rotation required and must be able to report to work when called in or when emergency situations arise. Valid driver’s license to operate Hospital vehicles required.
