Brief Position Overview
MECHANIC II – In addition to Mechanic I duties and responsibilities (primarily responsible for major mechanical work on vehicles, trucks, trailers, implements, large and small equipment, and tools.), the Mechanic II is primarily charged with performing all major mechanical work on vehicles, trucks, trailers, implements, campus standby generators, large and small equipment and tools. Includes welding ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including fabrication of parts for vehicles and equipment. Participates in University Services Fleet and Equipment condition assessment.
