Position Overview
In this role, you will support the maintenance and repair of production equipment by carrying out planned maintenance, attending to breakdowns, and ensuring facilities, auxiliary systems and machinery remain safe and operational. As a mechanical maintenance specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in line with the maintenance system, production schedule and safe work standards. Experience with bottling equipment, canning equipment, processing equipment, component manufacturing equipment and machinery, auxiliary systems, HVAC, plumbing, compressed air and refrigeration systems will be essential to your success.
To be considered, candidates should hold a Fitter Trade Test. This role also requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mechanical maintenance role and at least 3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment. Electrical knowledge and a welding qualification are advantageous. Must be able to work shifts.
