Working under the general direction of the Unit Manager for Cardiac Cath Lab, the Medical Radiation Technologist II (MRT II) is responsible for the diagnostic imaging component of cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and cardiac device implants. The MRT II is involved in direct patient care and support, circulating and assisting during cardiac procedures and handling complex device implant cases in the operating rooms. The position involves the use of portable and fixed imaging equipment with emphasis on specialized cardiovascular software platforms.
Perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for disease and pathology diagnosis.
Execute specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for physician and radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions, and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.
