Summary The incumbent serves as a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) in Care in the Community (CITC). S/he works at Veterans Affairs (VA) Illiana Health Care System, in Danville, IL. Responsibilities Answering phones Directing calls to the appropriate staff Scheduling appointments, including interpreting and verifying provider orders in accordance with VHA national scheduling guidelines Using CPRS for notes, alerting AMSA (Advanced Medical Support Assistant) to scheduled, rescheduled or no show appointments Entering hospital notification and community care coordination plan notes, performing basic eligibility requirements for CITC programs Interacting with both internal and external customers Obtains medical records Works closely with CITC teams, PACT and specialty clinics Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm Telework: Not available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
