Unit Summary: Progressive Care is a 40-bed cardiac telemetry unit for patients suffering from chest pain chronic heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias or who require preoperative care for catheterization or cardiac surgery. Patients on this unit may also be under 24-hour observation. The daily routine for nurses on this unit consists of bedside shift reports assessments hourly rounding phlebotomies IV insertions aquapheresis TR band recovery patient education and more. During daily accountable care unit rounding physicians nurses case management team members or social workers and members of the pharmacy team collaborate and discuss the care plans of patients.
