Description
The Medical Technologist performs all laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate, and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Position Requirements
Education:
Associate in Science or Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science. Experience:
Over two years experience preferred. Certifications/Licenses:
Certification as Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) required. Certification through ASCP preferred. MT (HEW) and MT(AMT) and MT(CLS) are also acceptable. If not certified on hire, must be certification eligible and certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
