About the Role

Te Awakura (Adult Inpatient Group) is a 64‑bed adult inpatient unit that provides 24hr care to consumers experiencing acute mental illness. The unit is divided into four wards – North, East, South, and West – representing the four quadrants of Christchurch. We are passionate about working with consumers who always have their best interest at heart, and we offer a supportive team culture with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Basic consumer care
• Assisting the clinical team with a variety of tasks
• Ensuring that our consumers have the best experience possible
• Taking consumers on outings within the motu
