Responsibilities*
Provide instruction in a wide variety of exercise and physical fitness techniques, in an individual or group setting. Such instruction may include, but is not limited to, basic aerobic or calisthenics training, weight training, flexibility and stretching techniques, use of basic exercise equipment. Instruction skills may also include specialized programs such as Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Group Fitness, or others if qualified. Provide broad and general suggestions and tips for lifestyle change via increase in frequency and duration of exercise sessions. Recommend general strategies for strength and flexibility training, conditioning, and stretching as appropriate within a group setting. Maintain current knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the importance of protecting participants' personal health information (PHI).
