POSITION TITLE: COUNSELOR (SECONDARY)

QUALIFICATIONS: Arkansas certification in Secondary Counseling

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

LOCATION: MULTI-LOCATION (SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE SCHOOL)



JOB GOALS: The counselor is responsible for implementing and maintaining a guidance program designed to provide optimum development for each student.



PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide counseling for all students using both individual and group methods.2. Collect, update and maintain educational, vocational, and social informational materials.3. Conduct group guidance activities to disseminate information including orientation sessions, pre-registration, career units, work opportunities, graduation and promotion requirements, college and other post-secondary institutions' entrance requirements, and financial aid programs.4.
