The Motor Vehicle Mechanic performs inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on Army tactical and non-tactical wheeled vehicles processed through a contractor-managed equipment turn-in site. This role ensures all vehicles meet Army technical and safety standards before storage, redistribution, or disposal. The mechanic supports Army property accountability by identifying deficiencies, completing corrective actions, and documenting all services in compliance with Army Technical Manuals (TMs), AR 750-1, DA PAM 750-8, and contract requirements.
