Position Overview

Responsibilities
  • Able to work independently utilizing ANSYS to carry out accurate modeling and analysis of vessel structures
  • Perform global analysis of ship structure
  • Analyze hydrodynamic loading
  • Refine models and provide suggestions on how to optimize the design for weight savings
Structural Design and Modelling
  • Have a good fundamental knowledge of structural design and calculations to streamline design
  • Conceptualize ship and deck structure drawings and carry out calculations
  • Able to do 3D modeling in Aveva Marine software
Qualifications
  • Minimum degree in Naval Architecture, Marine or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university, or equivalent
  • Be part of a team of engineers to carry out structural design and calculations
