Description
Summary:
The main function of a network administrator / engineer is to determine user requirements and design specifications for computer networks. A typical network engineer is responsible for planning and implementing network upgrades.
Job Responsibilities:
β’ Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands.
β’ Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs.
β’ Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades.
β’ Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems.
β’ Determine specific network hardware or software requirements such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas.
β’ Develop and implement solutions for network problems.
