Job Summary
This position is located at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. We are seeking a Network Engineer who can excel in a challenging and rewarding environment at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain Academy networks.
- Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN/DMZ/Wireless networks and related services.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks, applications, and appliances.
- Work in a government environment utilizing NIST and FISMA standards.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in a structured environment implementing and administering network devices, setting, and maintaining policies.
- Experience in configuring Cisco switches and routers.
