Job Duties

Will perform Neurodiagnostic procedures according to facility policy and procedures. During procedures for which competence has not been achieved, the technologist will train under direct technical supervision.
+ Is knowledgeable in correct Neurodiagnostic performance and recognition of clinically significant findings and follows facility policy and procedures regarding critical test results.
+ Maintains the patients’ safety through communication to other patient care support staff during testing if needed.
+ Continues to learn and apply basic and intermediate EEG waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPPA practices, contraindications for activation procedures, instrumentation and preparation for use.
