We're currently a family of three (soon to be 4 in September) who are a pretty tight-knit little unit. We don't have family in town, so haven't been able to rely on family help for childcare in the last 2ish years. We feel our daughter is now at the age where we'd feel comfortable hiring a babysitter to get some much needed adult time once in awhile.
Our family loves being outside in the garden, going on walks, cooking, reading books, and doing anything we can to learn together. My husband is an engineer and I work in management at the university - our little girl is a pretty good mix of both of us (curious!). She is also quite talkative, silly, and LOVES to run around. She's a pretty careful kid who asks a lot of questions.
As mentioned, we've never hired a babysitter so our two year old might be a little shy. However, she attends daycare full time so is well-exposed to new faces and friends.
