Job Description

:The Nurse Apprentice works under supervision of the Registered Nurse in the clinical setting and participates appropriately in the patient care delivery process. The Nurse Apprentice is expected to work at least 12 hours per week during last semester as allowed under the State of Utah guidelines for a Nurse Apprentice.

Job Essentials:

Routinely observes, discusses and demonstrates understanding of the steps in the nursing process and how the patient plan of care is developed, implemented, and revised to meet the needs of the patient (under direct supervision of an RN).

Assessment: Collects patient data (, vital signs) and reports significant changes in patient condition to the supervising RN. Completes accurate documentation which is verified by the supervising RN.
