Unit: Stepdown Intermediate Care (3 East)


Shift: 7pm – 7:30am / 36 hours per week

About 3 East

3 East is a 14-bed Progressive Respiratory Unit that cares for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), pulmonary edema, and patients requiring mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP), or high-flow oxygen therapy. The unit also cares for patients transitioning from the ICU or those whose needs have progressed beyond a Medical-Surgical unit.
