Orientation & Onboarding

Develops an action plan and coordinates new employee orientation in conjunction with the Nursing Education department.

+ Develops mechanisms for documentation of initial competencies achieved and sets individualized time frames for accomplishment.

+ Provides orientation goals and strategies to orientee and preceptor.

+ Acts as a resource in providing theory and supervised practice during training and orientation of all new staff.

+ Utilizes adult learning theories to implement action plan strategies.

+ Participates in the assessment of permanent and temporary employees.

+ Develops and facilitates clinical orientation of all new hires with the development of goals and resolution of performance problems with collaboration from service line coordinators when applicable.
