LPN Duties to Be Performed

Under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, or other licensed health care provider, performs nursing care tasks and procedures consistent with individual treatment plans and scope of practice, to maintain health, prevent and cure illness and injury, and alleviate suffering using practical knowledge of health processes and facility procedures.

Performing specialized nursing care such as feedings, medication administration, and dressings.

Responsible for daily observation and reporting changes in the individual's status to the RN, Physician, and document all incidents and occurrences promptly.

Attends ISP meetings in the absence of RN.

Attend to personal care, self-care and other needs of those individuals who require assistance while always encouraging choice and independence daily to the most considerable extent as possible.
