The University of Iowa Health Care department of Safety and Security is seeking an Occupational Safety Specialist to assist the Safety Manager in ensuring hospital compliance, maintaining policies and procedures, monitoring State and Federal guidelines, providing safety training, and much more within the UI Health Care Network.
Workplace Assessments, Surveys, and Inspections
Support activities of the UIHC safety program Conduct inspections/audits in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies Conduct environmental monitoring to measure, analyze, and identify workplace hazards Advise on corrective actions for institutional regulatory compliance Communicate significant health and safety issues to appropriate authorities Regulatory Compliance
