(What the role is)

The primary role of a School Counsellor is to work with staff, students, parents, external professionals and community agencies to provide quality school counselling support for students' mental health and social-emotional development.

• Provide individual and group counselling to the student population

• C onduct c ase management with stakeholders (staff, parents and external agencies) to extend support for students

• Support crisis intervention and management of affected students

• Support the counselling team for needs analysis, early identification and referral of students with challenges
