We are recruiting a PhD candidate to join us to investigate the anatomical and functional organizations of single neurons within the cerebellar nuclei.
The cerebellar nuclei (CN) are the sole output channels of the cerebellar cortex, yet their internal organization and the functional diversity of single CN neurons remain poorly understood. This PhD project aims to unravel the relationship between the axonal projection patterns of individual CN neurons and their roles in motor and non-motor behavior. Using state-of-the-art viral tracing, high-resolution imaging, and in vivo electrophysiology combined with optogenetics, you will map projection motifs at the single-neuron level and test how distinct CN output pathways contribute to behavior in mice.
