Public Works Outside Worker (Regular Full time)

The Township of Spallumcheen is inviting applications for its Public Works Department for an Operator I. Applicants will perform the duties listed on the Operator I Job Description. The hours of work will be during the regular hours of work as outlined in the CUPE agreement and relevant Letters of Understanding. This work is suitable for an applicant seeking full‑time work.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or equivalent
• Class 3 BC Driver’s Licence with air‑brake endorsement
• Clear Criminal Record Check
• Minimum of one year experience in a public or private sector construction environment
• One (1) to three (3) years practical experience as a heavy equipment operator and labourer
• Knowledge of materials, tools, equipment and procedures used in a public works department
