Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye conditions.
- Operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment (e.g. OCT, fundus camera, slit lamp, tonometer, visual field analyser).
- Explain examination findings and recommend suitable optical solutions.
- Refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary.
- Provide contact lens fitting, education, and aftercare advice.
- Maintain patient records, manage inventory, and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
- Supervise junior staff and support clinic operations as required.
Requirements
- Diploma in Optometry.
- Eligible for provisional, conditional, or full registration with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) .
- Good clinical, communication, and patient care skills.
