Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Orthopedic Technician. The Orthopedic Technician works directly under the supervision of the Orthopedic Surgeon. The Orthopedic Technician assists with splinting and casts, as well as minor orthopedic procedures as directed by the surgeon. The Orthopedic Technician may also assist with preparing personal assistive devices and training for use by the patient.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Schedules appointments, monitors appointments and screens phone calls
+ Assists patients in scheduling follow up appointments, consultative appointments, and other specialty appointments as requested
+ Assists with the ordering and maintaining of medical equipment and supplies
+ Provides pre and post-operative care instructions and paperwork to patients. Obtains vital signs, necessary measurements for surgeon, etc.
