A Crane Operator utilizes overhead beam cranes to move large generator rotors (15 to 300 tons) to various stands, rolls, and machines throughout the production process.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Safely rig, lift, transport, and load generator rotors onto fixed stands, roller stands, and machines, such as lathes and horizontal boring mills.

Regularly inspect lifting equipment

Assist with mechanical hand skills tasks in other work areas of the department such as rotor winding, assembly, and balance on an as-needed basis
