We are currently seeking parks & garden staff for a local city council. This is a casual position that will run until the end of August 2025.
Duties Include:
- Horticultural activities including; weeding, pruning, digging, raking, mulching, planting, spraying (with approved insecticides and herbicides) and mowing in accordance with established maintenance programs.
- Operate in a safe and efficient manner, a range of minor and specialist hand tools and minor mechanical plant up to, but not limited to, hedge trimmers, pole and chainsaws, blowers and other garden maintenance equipment.
- Report on a regular basis any issues (including non-area maintenance) in order to maintain and improve the standard of the City's assets.
- Promote input and new ideas to ensure improved practices are implemented within the work area.
- Share horticultural knowledge and advice to team members.
