Position Overview

Summary

The Pastry Sous Chef is responsible for exemplifying our culture to ensure that high quality-pastry, desserts and baked goods are delivered as directed by the Pastry and/or Executive Chef. This position organizes high volume pastry production procedures and ensures all deadlines are met. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Primary Responsibilities

Production and Quality

  • Prepare and finish pastries, breads, confections, and plated desserts to specifications.
  • Deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests by ensuring food quality and consistency are always maintained; Taste all food items for quality purpose to ensure they comply with standards and expectations.
  • Assist the Executive Chef and/or Food & Beverage Director in creating daily specials and writing new menus that feature seasonal ingredients from local vendors and reflect the culture and ...
