The Trabolsi Research Group at NYU Abu Dhabi utilizes the concepts of molecular/ionic recognition coupled to self-assembly for the fabrication of multi-functional materials.

Responsibilities

• The Post-Doc will execute a research project targeted for development of calix(n)arene based covalent organic frameworks for water purification applications.
• Design of novel covalent organic frameworks to contain organic macrocycles such as calix(n)arene and other organic macrocycles, for water purification applications.
• Synthesis of the targeted material using facile reaction conditions.
• Characterization of the materials using advanced techniques such as powder X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction, spectroscopy, electron micros...
