Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Pathology Assistant or Grossing Technician to support surgical pathology operations under the general supervision of a Pathologist. This role involves grossing, dissecting, and preparing specimens for histologic processing, ensuring accurate diagnostic support and contributing to laboratory efficiency and quality assurance initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens, ranging from biopsies to complex cases.Collaborate with Pathologists to select appropriate diagnostic sections for histologic processing.Accession specimens, describe gross anatomic features via dictation, and prepare tissue using proper histologic procedures.Review cases with Pathologists as needed upon sign-out.Consult with co-workers and histology staff to ensure smooth workflow.Maintain detailed records of specimen dissections and dictations.Assist in compiling reports for surgical pathology.Participate i...
