Description

As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for positioning, transferring and transporting patients to and from various departments or locations by wheelchair, bed, or gurney. You may also perform teaching and training functions, dispatching function, and limited clerical duties for the transport function. Other role requirements include:

+ Equipment maintenance and cleaning or disinfection
+ Deliver and pick-up specimens, blood, medical equipment, medical records, medications, and various other items
+ Transport deceased patients to the morgue

This is a part-time as needed per diem position; schedule and working hours will vary. May convert to Career.

Salary Range: $26.44- $26.44 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
+ Interpersonal skills to interact diplomatically and sensitively with acutely ill patients.
