**PBX Operator (Switchboard) - St. Peter's Hospital -Evening Shift -Part Time**

SPHP is looking for a candidate that:

+ Can use switchboard operation of telecommunication equipment:
+ Able to operate a computerized switchboard console.
+ Able to perform basic keyboard functions including typing.
+ Directs all incoming and in-house calls through transfers, paging, conference calls, overhead paging, and faxing.
+ When notified of an emergency situation, able to initiate appropriate paging and contacting personnel properly in a timely manner.

Has good communication skills:

+ Processes and triages all customer calls in a clear voice using good English.
+ Remains calm and maintains professionalism when handling delicate or volatile customers.
