Position Summary:
Provides peer support and transportation services to Safe Harbor clients.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist clients in articulating personal goals for recovery through the use of one-to-one and group sessions. Assist clients in determining the steps he/she needs to take in order to gain access to treatment services and support the client with identifying and adequately addressing barriers. Assist clients in locating, joining, and finding means to participate in self-help/support groups such as NA, AA and Celebrate Recovery. Model and teach problem-solving techniques with individuals and groups. Utilize recovery experience to assist Safe Harbor clients in navigating systems for authorization/ continuation of treatment services.
