Description

  MGH Radiation Oncology is seeking a compassionate, per diem Staff Nurse (RN) to join their outpatient practice at Newton Wellesley Hospital and Emerson Hospital. 

·The RN will discuss patient diagnosis and plan of care with the Radiation Oncologist

·Perform initial patient assessment which recognizes age appropriate behavior, nutritional needs, cognitive and physiologic norms.

·Provide age appropriate patient education regarding radiation, chemotherapy, diagnostic tests, medications, symptom management and follow-up care.

·Identify, facilitate and evaluate outcomes of nursing care through weekly assessment utilizing nursing process.
